Commerical Project Plan Review in the District of Columbia (Washington, DC)
As of April, 2015, the Department for Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) requires all commerical projects of greater than 25,000 ft2 to be sumbitted for review via ProjectDox (PD).
This transition to a paperless, one-stop submittal process provides potential benefits for developers in increased effiency and decreased costs. Multiple copies of plans will no longer need to be printed and delivered, saving time and money
IBTS Role in the Transition
IBTS has been working with DCRA to support the transition to ProjectDox since 2011. In addition, IBTS has performed electronic plan review for other jurisdictions and government agencies for more than 20 years. We use our understanding of DCRA guidelines and electronic plan review experience to guide clients through this transition.
To address the needs of electronic plan reviews, we prepare our approval report and send it electronically to our clients. The client then uploads our approval report as supporting documentation and can submit their signed and sealed plans electronically!
