IBTS completed its second annual day of service, IBTS L.O.V.E. (Locally Organized Volunteer Event) on Wednesday, May 2. L.O.V.E. Day is an organization-wide event that provides the IBTS team with an opportunity to give back to the communities we live and work in.
And we’re proud to say that everyone digs in and participates—from the C-Suite to interns, across each and every division and department. A true group effort!
This year, our Ashburn, VA; Brooklyn, NY; and Houston, TX, offices served a number of organizations both on- and off-site. These organizations included Backpack Buddies, Carroll Park, Habitat for Humanity, Lift Me Up! Therapeutic Riding Center, Loudoun Hunger Relief, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Through our volunteer efforts, IBTS was able to provide these organizations with:
• Nearly 700lbs. of food items for delivery to elementary schools
• Park maintenance
• Home rehabilitation
• Facility maintenance
• Nearly 8,000lbs. of packed USDA bags
• 12,000 flyers and ribbons
Our Washington, D.C. office will be participating in the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) Community Improvement Day this fall, where they will help renovate Keene Field in Ward 5, an open field that abuts the D.C. Bilingual Public Charter School and Briya and Bridges Schools. Additionally, the IBTS offices in Guymon, OK, and Central, LA, participate in community service events year-round.
After the success of this year’s event, the team is already looking for ways to expand L.O.V.E. Day 2019!
