June 27, 2008 – Grambling, Louisiana: Louisiana IBTS has been awarded a contract by the City of Grambling, Louisiana to provide the building department with a turnkey wireless network, including:
- Business Grade Bluetooth Dual Core Pentium Desktops
- Complete wireless hardware to integrate the 5 PC system
- Over 750 Gigs of storage
- 8 Hour battery backup system to protect the network in case of outages
- High-speed, high volume color printer
- High-speed, high volume black & white printer
- Complete Wireless Network Configuration
- Delivery and setup
The City of Grambling has chosen IBTS to research, create, assemble and configure a 4 wireless PC system, complete with an 802.11n Draft 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet Router/Switch and a Core 2 Duo service. This new wireless network is being implemented by the City of Grambling due to the new statewide, mandated Uniform Construction Codes that require permits, plan reviews and inspections on residential and commercial structures built in Louisiana. IBTS was selected to provide these services due to its unique blend of experience working with the Building Code Department and its knowledge of implementation of building department computer network systems and software systems. The IBTS IT Department is a past winner of the Vice President’s Hammer Award for Excellence in Innovation.
