Texas HOME Program

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is intended to expand the supply of safe, affordable housing for communities. The HOME Homeowner Rehabilitation Assistance (HRA) program allows nonprofit organizations to provide rehabilitation, reconstruction, or new construction for homes that have been deemed uninhabitable as the result of a disaster.

TDHCA contracted IBTS as a subrecipient for the HOME program, independent of local governments or municipalities. This structure allows us to receive funds directly from TDHCA and perform community outreach to identify program-eligible homeowners at no cost to the resident or jurisdiction. HOME program funding is available now, enabling support to be disbursed to urgent-need residents immediately.
