Problem

Dangerous health and safety violations identified during field audit procedures need to be quickly communicated to the construction contractor. Also, the auditors themselves must know which health and safety violations are subject to the hazard notification policy.

Solution

The IBTS QAS System provides the workflow automation capability needed to ensure that the health and safety violations subject to the hazard notification policy are codified and available to auditors. Detailed procedures in QAS then instruct the auditor to immediately notify the contractor by telephone, capture the outcome of the notification, and notify officials via email of the incident to ensure follow-up.
