IBTS Participates in the 20th Annual DCBIA Community Improvement Day

By May 8, 2012

May 08, 2012 – Washington, DC:

IBTS will be joining the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) for the 20th Annual DCBIA Community Improvement Day.

This event will take place at the Congress Height Recreation Center in Ward 8, Saturday, September 29, 2012.  It will be held from 7am until 5 pm.

The DCBIA is the premier non-profit trade association representing the real estate development industry in the District of Columbia.

Over the years, DCBIA has achieved a prominent position in the local business community as an advocate for a vigorous, responsible real estate industry.  It interprets that advocacy role broadly – to not only give voice to the specific concerns of its members, but also to speak out in support of public policies that promote the economic growth and vitality of the nation’s capital.

Members serve frequently and prominently on commissions, task forces and study groups to address crucial economic development and municipal governance issues.  Member participation on a more continuous basis is encouraged through eleven standing committees, which work closely with agencies of the DC government to advise and assist in the efficient administration of city programs – most recently in areas related to land use, building regulation, comprehensive planning, tax issues and affordable housing and community development. Committees also work in collaboration with other business groups and community organizations to attract and retain business investment and to facilitate the revitalization of distressed areas in the city.

Businesses that make up the membership of the DCBIA are:

Developers • General Contractors • Builders • Insurance • Architects • Public Relations Advertising • Interior Designers • Appraisers • Property / Asset Managers • Attorneys • Suppliers • Financial Institutions • Telecommunications • Engineers • Title Companies • Certified Public Accountants • Utility Companies • Commercial Brokers • Business Improvement Districts.

IBTS is a proud supporter of this organization!
