IBTS will be presenting at the Finger Lakes Building Officials Conference at the RIT Inn and Conference Center, Henrietta, New York on Monday March 12, 2012 and will have a booth at their exhibit on Tuesday March 13th.
The presentation of “How to Inspect for the Energy Conservation Code New York State – 2010” which is sponsored by New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and ARRA funding, will be given during this event. This project is part of DOE and NYSERDA’s energy code compliance initiative. The DOE has established a requirement for states to achieve 90% compliance by 2017. Research here in New York has indicated about 40% compliance.
This course is a 4 hour training session that will teach code officials on how to perform a energy code inspection. We are providing two separate courses, one each for residential and commercial applications.
Our courses are free to certified Code Officials. There is a $65 charge for industry partners.
