IBTS has partnered with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) on a new benefit that will allow member counties and cities to access pre-event contracts for disaster recovery services. Through this partnership, NACo and OML members have access to subrecipient agreements, disaster planning and plan activation, initial disaster response, post-disaster services, recovery administration, grant closeout, resilience planning, and other associated shared services. Establishing a relationship with a firm that has already been vetted can accelerate recovery.
Our pre-event contracts include a full menu of disaster services while providing counties access to our experienced disaster team who understands:
- Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program Management
- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Program Management
- FEMA Emergency Response
- FEMA Public Assistance
There is no initial cost to counties or cities in signing the pre-event contract, which is only implemented should the county or city face an emergency or would like to use IBTS for disaster planning and mitigation services.
Signing this agreement presents no risk to the jurisdiction as there is no retainer and the county or city is only charged for contracted services. When a service is contracted, a statement of work with associated fees is provided. Additionally, once a pre-event contract is in place, IBTS provides a two-hour consultation with our disaster preparedness experts to discuss recovery planning and practices.
