Plan Reviews
IBTS staff have substantial experience reviewing plans for hospital construction, reconstruction, and renovation projects. Our Work in Action
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health System
IBTS provided full plan review services in several locations, including an Adult Outpatient facility that includes a 1M SF, 16-story hospital with a 1-level underground and 8-level above-ground parking garage. The VCU Community Memorial Hospital includes a 3-story hospital of approximately 165,000 SF.
Winchester Medical Center (WMC) Campus
IBTS performed all third-party plan reviews for the $161 million Winchester Medical Center campus expansion. Designed by Perkins + Wills, the 400,000 sq. ft. renovation involved multiple buildings including an existing 22,000 square feet laboratory expansion, a new five-story tower serving multiple critical departments within the medical center, a new Heart & Vascular Center, a five-story critical care unit; an expanded emergency department, and a 20-bed observation unit.
